Sorbitrate tablet is used to treat angina pectoris. It works by relaxing the blood vessels, so the heart does not need to work as hard and therefore does not need as much oxygen.

Sorbitrate tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Medication must not stop unless told by your doctor. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.

This medication's most common side effects are rash, hives, itching, difficulty in breathing or swallowing, swelling of face or throat, giddiness, headache at the start of treatment, weakness, dizziness, tired feeling, and rapid heartbeat. If these symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.

This medication may cause bradycardia, liver & kidney problems. Your doctor may advise on specific tests before and after the treatment to check for these issues.

Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use other medicines. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
