Description
PARKIN contains Trihexyphenidyl which belongs to the group of medicines called Central Anticholinergics. It is used to improve muscle control in patients with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s disease is a long-term brain disorder that causes muscle stiffness, shaking, slow and unsteady movements, difficulty in walking andloss of balance. It happens due to loss of nerve cells at certain regions of brain that controls body movements. PARKIN can also be used to control abnormal involuntary muscle movements in the body that is caused due to the use of certain medicines. Trihexyphenidyl is a muscle relaxant. It reduces muscle stiffness and relaxes muscles by reducing the activity of a chemical messenger called acetylcholine in the brain. It also restores a balance between certain brain chemicals that controls body movements.

1. How long does it take for PARKIN to start acting?
Answer :- PARKIN begins to act within 1 hour following administration. It reaches its
maximum action between 2-3 hours after administration. The effects of PARKIN can
be there in your body for around 6-12 hours.
2. Is PARKIN safe to be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women?
Answer :- PARKIN is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
However, consult your doctor before taking.
3. What happens if you take more PARKIN than your required dose?
Answer :- If you or anyone else accidentally took more PARKIN, consult your doctor
immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are anxiety,
depression, and behavioral changes.
4. Will taking a higher dose of PARKIN be more effective?
Answer :- No. Do not take a higher dose of PARKIN than the prescribed one without
