Amlosafe 5 Tablet 10's contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that acts by relaxing the blood vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Thus, it helps to lower high blood pressure, reducing the chances of heart attack or stroke. Taking this medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor along with other lifestyle modifications can help you control your blood pressure better.

- Amlosafe 5 mg tablet should be taken orally with or without food
- Amlosafe 5 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Drinking grapefruit juice and taking grapefruit should be avoided while taking this medicine.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

- A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Amlosafe 5 Tablet. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- It can cause ankle or foot swelling. To reduce the swelling, raise your legs while you are sitting down. Talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
- Do regular physical activity or exercise for at least 150 minutes per week, or about 30 minutes most days of the week.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.

If it's time for you to take your next dose, then do not take both the doses together. Take only one dose, taking a double dose of Amlosafe 5 Tablet will lead to low blood pressure.
Answer- You are recommended not to consume alcohol along with Amlosafe 5 Tablet to avoid side effects like lowering of blood pressure (hypotension).
