Q. Is there any traditional Indian way to cure the corona virus?
Doctor Answer is medically reviewed by SecondMedic medical review team.
At this point in time, there is no traditional Indian way to cure the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Traditional cures and remedies have yet to be proven safe and effective against this virus.
That being said, traditional Indian culture has a long history of holistic health practices that are still highly valued today. While these methods may not directly cure the virus itself, they can certainly aid in improving overall health and wellbeing during the current pandemic—and provide protection from more general illnesses as well.
Ayurveda is an ancient practice founded in India over 3,000 years ago which focuses on prevention through diet and lifestyle modifications such as stress reduction techniques and yoga implementations. Ayurveda also promotes herbal supplements such as turmeric, ashwagandha or shatavari root which all contain natural medicinal properties that can help strengthen immunity—especially when combined with a healthy diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts/seeds, lean proteins like fish/poultry/eggs and dairy products like yogurt or cheese—all of which are abundant across India. Additionally any activity that can help reduce stress levels may contribute to increasing one's immune system response including adapting mindfulness practices like meditation or breathwork exercises regularly throughout the day.
It is important to note that while many traditional remedies exist within Indian culture as preventative measures against disease—including those mentioned above; regular handwashing remains essential for preventing any kind of infection along with social distancing whenever possible (plus wearing face masks!). Ultimately each person must do their part to stop this global pandemic by following common sense safety precautions recommended by healthcare professionals on both a local & international level so we can all continue taking steps towards recovery together!
