Advanced Renal Profile is a urine or blood test used to determine how well your kidneys are functioning. The glomerular filtration rate is determined by the majority of these tests (GFR). GFR is a measurement of how well your kidneys filter waste out of your body. 

Advanced renal profile is a collection of measurements that provide multi-faceted information about the health of the kidneys. This renal profile test is performed using a blood sample and can play a role in early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of kidney problems.

Purpose of Test:

The purpose of a renal profile test is to find or rule out potential kidney impairment or disease. Depending on the circumstances, it may be used for diagnosis, screening, or monitoring.

Ans: Yes, Nephrologists recommend that you fast for 8-12 hours before taking the kidney function test at home. Ensure you only consume water during the fasting period. It is ideal to fast through the night and start your test when you wake up the next day.

Q4. Do I need a doctor’s prescription for the tests?

Ans:  This Advanced Renal Profile test does not require a doctor’s prescription. In case your doctor has prescribed certain Nephrologists tests to you, you should consult with them to see if any of the tests listed in this package are for you.
