Reading to your unborn baby is a great way to create a strong bond between you and your future child. Studies have shown that reading aloud to a fetus can help stimulate their brain development, even in the early stages of gestation!

When selecting books for pregnancy reading, consider choosing ones with rhythmic language or large pictures. Rhythmic language helps engage the auditory senses and is known to be calming for both mother and baby. Visual images will also give your baby something familiar when they arrive in the world outside of the womb.

Some popular books include "Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown, "Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak, "The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog!" By Mo Willems, and “Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?” By Bill Martin Jr.  Each of these books contain colorful characters, playful rhymes or stories that make them enjoyable for both mommy and baby!  Additionally, classics like “Alice In Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll or Dr Seuss are sure to capture an unborn child's imagination too!
