The most common personality disorder in children of narcissistic parents is borderline personality disorder.
Children of narcissists often develop borderline personality disorder because they learn to become extremely sensitive to the criticisms and disapproval of others in order to avoid being hurt or abandoned by their parents. They also develop a deep-seated fear of abandonment, and as a result, they often become clingy and dependent on others for validation and approval. Additionally, children of narcissists often have difficulty regulating their emotions, which leads to frequent mood swings and problems with impulse control.
