There are many things you can do to prevent colon cancer, such as eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and avoiding tobacco smoke. You should also get screened for colon cancer regularly starting at age 50.

Some specific things you can do to reduce your risk of colon cancer include eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains; staying physically active; and maintaining a healthy weight. It's also important to limit your intake of processed meats and red meat, and to drink alcohol in moderation. Finally, be sure to get regular screenings for colon cancer starting at age 50.
