Generally speaking, while homeopathy is an alternative form of medicine that has been used to treat a variety of conditions, its efficacy when it comes to treating lumbar spondylosis remains unproven.
In fact, the scientific consensus among medical professionals is that homeopathic remedies should not be used as primary treatments for any medical condition, and this includes lumbar spondylosis. The American Medical Association (AMA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have both expressed skepticism towards homeopathy's ability to provide effective long-term therapeutic benefits.
On the other hand, there are some limited studies which suggest that certain individualized homeopathic remedies may provide short-term relief or possibly even contribute to improving symptoms associated with back pain in people with lumbar spondylosis. However these results are mixed and inconclusive at best.
Given this research evidence - or lack thereof - it is recommended that patients diagnosed with lumbar spondylosis seek conventional treatment methods such as physical therapy, medications prescribed by their doctor(s), lifestyle modifications such as exercise and proper nutrition, massage therapy if needed, etc. before considering adding any form of alternative medicine into their treatment regimen.
