Ocabile tablet belongs to the farnesoid x receptor (fxr) agonist class used to treat and manage primary biliary cirrhosis. It works by suppressing the secretion of bile acids in the liver cells and increases its transport out of the liver cells, thereby effectively reducing the exposure of these cells to bile acid and helps in preventing further toxicity.
Take this tablet as directed by your doctor. Use it regularly to get maximum benefits from the treatment. Do not take more than the prescribed number of doses.
This medication's most common side effects are abdominal pain, constipation, dizziness, fatigue, throat pain, itching, skin rashes, pruritus, eczema, palpitations, and abnormal thyroid functioning. If these side effects persist, consult your doctor immediately.
