Description

Misonac SR Tab is a class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs used to reduce pain and swelling in the joints associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis (pain and stiffness in the backbone). The arthritis symptoms include joint pain, stiffness, redness, tenderness, swelling in and around joints, and reduced movement of joints. Misonac SR Tab is a combination drug. Diclofenac works by blocking the chemical effect of an enzyme called cyclo-oxygenase (COX), which produces prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) that are responsible for the sense of pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Misoprostol is a prostaglandin that helps to protect the stomach from diclofenac's irritating effects. It works by protecting the stomach lining by reducing the amount of acid in contact with it.

Directions for use

•  It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
•  Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water with meals. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.

•  Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea).
•  Drink plenty of water while taking Misonac-SR Tablet.
•  If you have asthma, symptoms such as wheeze or breathlessness might become worse by Misonac-SR Tablet. If this happens to you, consult your doctor immediately.
•  Although it is generally a safe medicine to use, it should be avoided in patients with kidney disease as Misonac SR Tab may have an adverse effect on renal functions.
•  Do not self-administer Misonac SR Tab if you are pregnant or are nursing.
