Consume Type- Oral
Duopil 1/850 mg 10 Tab contains a combination of Glimepiride and Metformin and is an anti-diabetic medicine.
This combination controls blood sugar to a greater extent than metformin or glimepiride alone. Glimiperide lowers the blood sugar level increasing release of insulin hormone from pancreas. Insulin moves sugar (glucose) from the blood into the cells. Metformin decreases the absorption in the intestine and production of sugar by the liver. Both of these components are known to increase the insulin sensitivity of the body. Lowering blood glucose levels is an essential part of managing diabetes. If you can control the level you will reduce the risk of getting any of the serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, eye damage, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Taking this medicine regularly along with proper diet and exercise will help you live a normal, healthy life.
