Soregel 10gm is a combination of two medicines, namely: Choline salicylate and lidocaine. Choline salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), whereas lidocaine is a local anesthetic. Soregel 10gm is primarily used to treat mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers, also known as canker sores, are small, painful lesions that develop in the mouth or gums base.
Choline salicylate works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo?oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical prostaglandins (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Lidocaine blocks the pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby helps in decreasing the pain sensations. Together, Soregel 10gm helps in treating mouth ulcers.
Soregel 10gm is for external use only. Take a small amount of Soregel 10gm onto your finger and apply it directly onto the affected area. If Soregel 10gm comes in contact with eyes, rinse with water immediately. You are advised to use Soregel 10gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition.
