Description

Alerfix M Tablet is used for the management of symptoms such as runny & stuffy nose (allergic rhinitis), blockage in airways, sneezing, itching, watery eyes and other allergic symptoms. It is a combination of two medicines, montelukast and levocetirizine. Montelukast blocks certain natural substances called leukotriene, which cause symptoms of allergy. It reduces swelling, relaxes airways and helps to make breathing easier.. Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a natural substance, which is produced by the body during allergic reactions.

Directions for use

•  It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
•  Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water with or without food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
•  Keep it away from the reach of children
•  Do not use expired medicine.

•  Tell the doctor about the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid possible interaction.
•  If you have missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
•  Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Alerfix-M Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
•  Do not drink alcohol while taking Alerfix-M Tablet as it may cause increased sleepiness.
•  Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help.
•  Stop taking Alerfix-M Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
•  It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens
