ALKAFRESH SYRUP is a urine alkalizer that raises the pH of urine to prevent gout and certain kidney stones Its main component Disodium Hydrogen Citrate increases urine pH and eliminates excess uric acid promoting kidney health It should be taken orally with or without food using a measuring cup after shaking the syrup well Nausea vomiting tiredness mood swings stomach cramps flatulence and diuresis are common side effects Excessive use may cause metabolic alkalosis especially in individuals with respiratory disorders Close monitoring is necessary for those on sodiumrestricted diets or with hypertension or heart conditions Missed doses should be taken as soon as remembered but if the next dose is near skipping the missed one is advised Consult a doctor for guidance on managing missed doses
