Alkus 14gm Syrup is a urine alkalizer that helps elevate urine pH to prevent gout and certain kidney stones It contains Disodium Hydrogen Citrate which increases urine pH and eliminates excess uric acid to promote kidney health It should be taken orally with a measuring cup shaken before consumption and can be taken with or without food Common side effects include nausea vomiting tiredness mood swings stomach cramps flatulence and diuresis Excessive use may cause metabolic alkalosis especially in individuals with respiratory disorders Those on sodiumrestricted diets or with hypertension should exercise caution A missed dose can be taken as soon as remembered but consulting a doctor is important for managing missed doses effectively
