Oxybro Plus tablet is used to treat & prevent asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic that works by making the mucus thin and loose. It helps to cough out easily and makes breathing easier by opening airways. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist which works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (leukotriene). Hence it reduces inflammation in the nose & airways to prevent allergy symptoms and asthma.
Take Oxybro Plus as prescribed by your doctor. Dose and duration depend on your condition and how well you are responding to medication. Medication should not be stopped unless told by your doctor.
The most common side effects of Oxybro Plus are vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, rash, itching, breathing difficulty, nasal inflammation, and flu-like symptoms. Consult your doctor if your symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid driving after taking this medication because it may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication because it can worsen your sleepiness.
