Norcin tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections such as urinary tract, lungs, throat, nose, skin, and soft tissue infections. It works by blocking the action of the bacterial enzyme dna-gyrase that stops dividing & repairing bacterial cells and prevents the infection.
Take this medication in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine too early, or even if you feel better. If you stop taking this medicine too early, your condition may become worsen. To get better results, take this medicine at a fixed time.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine as it makes the side effects worse. Do not drive while taking this medicine as it causes dizziness and sleepiness. The common side effects of this medicine include stomach pain, diarrhoea, and nausea. If these symptoms bother you for a longer duration, inform your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are suffering from kidney and heart diseases. If you are suffering from myasthenia gravis and muscle weakness, tell your doctor before using this medicine. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have seizures and tendon problems. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have severe or bloody diarrhoea. If you are pregnant or planning to have a baby and breastfeeding, seek a doctor's advice before using this medicine.
