The field of Indian medicine has been steadily gaining in prominence over the last several decades as more research and clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy. In addition, India itself has become increasingly open to embracing Indian medical practices, acknowledging the combination of traditional medication and modern healthcare that they offer.

Currently, there are numerous hospitals, clinics and other treatment centers offering various forms of Indian medicine both in India and abroad. These include Ayurvedic treatments such as massage therapy, herbal remedies, diet modifications and yoga; Siddha treatments like surya namaskar (sun salutations) or application of medicinal oils; Unani-Tibb treatments such as acupuncture or cupping; homeopathic treatments based on the principles of "like cures like"; naturopathy which uses nutrition supplements along with exercise to promote holistic health; yoga therapy that combines physical postures with breathing techniques for stress relief; and Siddha medicines derived from plant parts used in prescribed doses for specific maladies.

These therapies have also been further validated by peer-reviewed scientific studies which often support their use for a variety of maladies. Moreover there is an increasing number of healthcare practitioners certified to give these treatments - both in India itself where it is regulated by dedicated councils within states - as well as outside India where many centers specialize solely in such therapies. Thus it can be said that Indian medicine has already begun taking off at a rapid pace!
