Mood swings can be caused by a variety of things, such as stress, hormone fluctuations, nutritional deficiencies, and medication side effects. For example, when people are stressed out, their cortisol levels may spike which can lead to mood swings. Or if someone is taking birth control pills, their hormone levels may fluctuate which can also cause mood swings.
Additionally, nutritional deficiencies can also cause mood swings. For example, if someone is not getting enough vitamin B12 they may experience mood swings because B12 is essential for brain health. Similarly, if someone is not getting enough omega-3 fatty acids they may also experience mood swings because omega-3 fatty acids are important for mental health.
