Injection of methamphetamine (crystal meth) can result in direct damage to the blood vessels in your legs and feet. This is called vascular pain.

IV meth use can also cause a condition called compartment syndrome. This is a build-up of pressure in the muscles, which cuts off the blood supply to the area. Gangrene can then set in, and if it's not treated, the limb may have to be amputated.
