I was diagnosed with cancer after I went to the doctor for a routine physical examination. During the physical, my doctor noticed that a lump on my neck had grown larger, so they ordered an ultrasound scan which revealed a mass in my lymph nodes. Due to this abnormality, my physician decided it was best to order further testing including blood tests and CT scans. After reviewing all the results from these tests, it was determined that I had cancer and would need surgery in order to remove the affected area of lymph tissue. Following surgery, I underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments over several months as part of an effort to treat the cancer completely. Now two years later (following regular monitoring) I am happy to report that I am officially free of cancer!
