Can kidney stones cause leg swelling?

Yes, kidney stones can cause leg swelling. Swelling in the legs is referred to medically as peripheral edema and is an abnormal buildup of fluid in the feet, ankles, and/or lower legs. It can be caused by a variety of medical conditions, including kidney stone disease.
