There are a few very minor risks associated with MRI scans. For example, if you have a metal implant in your body (such as a pacemaker), the magnets in the MRI machine can cause problems with the function of the implant.

Some people also experience claustrophobia while inside the MRI scanner. And finally, there is a very small risk of developing a burn on your skin if you are accidentally left in the scanner for too long.
