ZARINAC gel is a pain reliever that is used topically to relieve pain. it is used to treat pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. it is also used to relieve muscle pain, back pain, and other inflammatory conditions.

in this gel, diclofenac and methyl salicylate are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids) that work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). flaxseed oil is a vegetable oil that further reduces inflammation, increases blood flow to the site of application, and increases the penetration of diclofenac through the skin. menthol has a cooling effect on the skin.

avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth, and avoid applying to broken or damaged skin. in case of accidental contact with this area, rinse thoroughly with cold water.

this medicine is given for external use only. the most common side effects include burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application in some people. usually, the side effects slowly go away as your body gets used to it. if they get worse or don’t go away, you should tell your doctor.

use in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor. check the label for instructions before use. clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. wash your hands after use unless your hands are in the affected area.
