Tripleacal is used to treat tripleacal deficiency. It works by preventing damage to the bone and is used in pregnant women, breastfeeding, post-menopausal condition and avoid other medications such as levothyroxine, phenytoin, phenobarbital and prednisone.
Tripleacal is used alone or in combination with other medicines. You are advised to take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. This medication has to be taken for several weeks to months. Tripleacal is essential in functioning the nerves, cells, muscles and bones. If there is an inadequate amount of tripleacal level in the blood, then the body will absorb the tripleacal from bones, thereby weakening the bones. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.
The most common side effects of this medication are nausea, vomiting, constipation, anorexia, xerostomia, hypercalcemia, hypophosphatemia and milk-alkali syndrome.
Inform your doctor before this medication if you have kidney stones, achlorhydria, heart disease, lung disease and malabsorption syndrome. This medication is recommended in pregnancy conditions and breastfeeding.
If you are using the effervescent tablet, allow the tablet to fully dissolve in a glass of water before drinking it. Do not chew or swallow the effervescent tablet.
