Savemer tablet is used in the treatment of high phosphate levels in the blood. It is used in patients with kidney problems and on dialysis. It works by inhibiting phosphate absorption from the intestine and lower the phosphate levels in the blood. It prevents the complications such as heart attack, stroke, kidney damage, particularly in patients who are on dialysis and cannot get rid of excess phosphate levels through kidneys.
You can take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption may lead to serious adverse effects. Medication should not be discontinued unless told by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are on any other medication as it may cause interactions. Avoid using it for a longer duration unless recommended by your doctor.
This medication's most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence, and diarrhoea. If any of the side effects persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications.
