It works in treating throat infection, ear infection, nasal sinuses infection, respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, skin infection and soft tissue infection, and typhoid fever. It works by preventing the formation of the protective covering in bacteria which is essential for the survival of bacteria.
It is recommended to take medicine with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset. You should take it as prescribed by the doctor. It is recommended to take at a fixed time. The dose depends on the infection, but the course of treatment should be completed as prescribed by the doctor. Don’t stop the medicine too early. This may lead to the survival of some bacteria and increase the chances of returning of infection or worsening of infection.
