rifaxigress tablet is an antibiotic. it kills bacteria that cause gastrointestinal tract diseases like infectious diarrhoea and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea. rifaxigress tablet is helpful to treat symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy like confusion, muscle problems, and agitation. it also decreases the recurrence of episodes of hepatic encephalopathy.
rifaxigress tablet is given alone or in combination with other medications. this medication should take only if your doctor prescribes you. don’t take excess doses. complete the treatment course. early stopping of this medication may worsen the condition.
the common side effects of this tablet are headache, nausea, and dizziness. inform your doctor if there are symptoms that persist or worsen you. this medication may cause reddish discolouration of urine, which is harmless and normal.
