this tablet is a combination of four drugs: RHINO. cetirizine is an anti-allergic drug that relieves allergy symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (temperature reducer). it blocks the release of some chemical messengers that cause pain and fever.
caffeine is a stimulant that increases the effectiveness of paracetamol and reduces drowsiness from cetirizine. phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows small blood vessels and temporarily relieves nasal congestion. this tablet is taken with or without food in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor. it is better to take with a meal to avoid stomach upset.
the dose will depend on your condition and how you react to the drug. you should take this medicine for as long as your doctor prescribes it. if you stop treatment too soon, your symptoms may return, and your condition may worsen. tell your doctor about any other medicines you are taking, as some affect or may be affected by this medicine.
the most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, dry mouth, restlessness, fatigue, and insomnia. most of them are temporary and usually resolved over time. call your doctor right away if you are concerned about any of these side effects.
it can also cause dizziness and lightheadedness. therefore, do not drive or do anything that requires concentration. avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse.
