Regestrone tablet is an endocrine-metabolic agent used to treat the conditions such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pain during menstruation, endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome (pms).
This medication may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, mood swings, trouble sleeping, weight gain/loss, acne, breast swelling/tenderness, change in sexual interest, unwanted hair growth, or hair loss. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Caution must be followed as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to severe liver damage.
Please do not exceed more than the recommended dose as it may lead to toxicity and adverse effects. This medication may cause sleepiness in some patients after taking medicine. Inform your doctor if you observe any sudden disturbance of mood or any thoughts about harming yourself.
Do not stop the medication. You have to complete the course of the medication as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better, as it may take a few weeks. Sudden abrupt of medicine may cause severe complications. Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, or have liver & kidney problems and using any other medications. This medication is not recommended in pregnancy.
