Pyzina tablet belongs to the antitubercular agent class used in the treatment and management of tuberculosis. It works by converting itself into an active metabolite called pyrazinoic acid (poa) that helps lower the ph of the environment required for the organism's growth. It has both bacteriostatic (stops the growth of the organism) and bactericidal (killing the organism) actions, thereby effectively treating disease.
Take this tablet as directed by your doctor. Use it regularly to get maximum benefits from the treatment. Do not take more than the prescribed number of doses.
This medication's most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, anorexia, joint pains, dysuria, fever, rash, itching, photosensitivity, and hyperuricemia (increased uric acid levels). If these side effects persist, consult your doctor immediately.
