p.m.iv injection is an antipyretic and analgesic. it works by acting on the hypothalamus to produce antipyresis. it may work peripherally to inhibit pain impulse generation. it also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the cns. take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. you must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor.
alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to an increased risk of hepatotoxicity.
the most common side effects of these medications are pain & reactions at the site of injection, skin rash, urticaria, stevens-johnson syndrome, dizziness, fatigue, gastric ulcer, nausea, and vomiting.
