Pionorm tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Pionorm is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by restoring the appropriate use of insulin in your body and controls blood sugar levels.
Take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take complete course medication, even if you feel better. If you stop suddenly, it may lead to the risk of kidney damage, blindness, nerves problems, and loss of limbs. With this medication, you must do regular exercise, weight reduction, and eat a healthy diet to control your blood sugar levels. Medication should not be stopped unless told by your doctor.
Common side effects are weight gain, blurred vision, bone fracture, numbness, and respiratory tract infection. If the symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding & have heart, liver, or kidney disease and using any other medications. Inform your doctor if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis. Advise the patient to regularly monitor blood tests, livers function tests, and blood sugar levels while taking this medication.
