Pidotimune is an immunostimulant used in improving and increasing immunity for preventing recurrent bacterial or viral infections affecting the respiratory tract. This medication can either be used alone or in combination with other medications. It is not recommended to use in the treatment of existing respiratory tract infections.
It can be taken with or without food at a fixed time. Take medicine in dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor. Don't stop the medicine too early; this may increase the chances of recurrence of infection. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine.
The most common side effect associated with this medication is rashes. This side effect is usually minor and not severe but inform the doctor if it does not subside. If it persists or worsens, you need to consult the doctor immediately. Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant and breastfeeding, or have liver & kidney problems and using any other medications.
