Oxicojen cream is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections of the skin. It works by killing fungi that cause infections such as athlete's foot, dobie's itch, thrush, ringworm, and dry, scaly skin.
Oxicojen cream should be used in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the maximum benefit from it. Do not use more than necessary; it will not clear up your condition any faster and may only increase the side effects. Skin infections usually improve after 2-4 weeks. Do not use the cream for longer than recommended by your doctor, and let him know if your condition does not improve after 2-4 weeks of treatment. The effect of the drug can be enhanced by keeping the affected area clean and dry and washing hands before and after treating the infection. If you have water fleas, wash your socks or tights thoroughly and, if possible, change your shoes daily.
The most common side effects of using this cream include a burning sensation and irritation, dry skin, peeling or blistering. Sometimes it can cause hair thinning. It's usually not serious, but you should call your doctor if you think you may be having a severe allergic reaction. Signs include a rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, difficulty swallowing or breathing, feeling light-headed or faint, and nausea. Get emergency help if this happens. Avoid direct contact with eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water and consult a doctor immediately.
Other medicines taken orally or injected are unlikely to affect how this medicine works but talk to your doctor before using it if you have recently taken other medicines that contain steroids or have had an allergic reaction to other antifungal medicines. This medicine should only be used if it is needed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ask your doctor if it's safe.
