Optipred eye drops are used to treat post-operative eye pain and inflammation. It helps to relieve symptoms such as watering of eyes, swelling, itching, redness and burning sensation of eyes. It works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals that cause pain & inflammation of the eyes.
You are advised to take these eye drops as prescribed by your doctor. Carefully wash your hands and instill the drops into the eyes. These eye drops should not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Avoid instilling more than the recommended dose as it may cause side effects.
The most common side effects of Optipred eye drops include irritation, watery and burning sensation of the eye. If any of the symptoms persist or worsen you need to consult your doctor immediately. These eye drops may cause blurred vision for a short time after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
