Omnicef Plus is given in combination medicine used to treat many types of different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. Cefixime works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body. Ofloxacin works by inhibiting the enzyme dna gyrase and also inhibits the dividing process of bacteria and cause bacterial cell death. It treats the infection effectively in a combination rather than a single drug.

Complete the full course of treatment of Omnicef Plus as long as it is prescribed, even if you feel better. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. Sudden stoppage of the treatment may affect the potency of the drug. Ensure to continue the entire course of treatment effectively so that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

The most common side effects of Omnicef Plus tablets are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion, etc. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects may bother you. While taking this medicine, if you experience any allergic reaction, rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc., seek the doctor‘s advice immediately.

Before taking Omnicef Plus, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your liver or kidneys. Also, tell your doctor if you are taking any other medications for the disease. You need to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breastfeeding.

Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while Omnicef Plus tablets as it may cause excessive drowsiness.
