Olsertain-CT tablet is to treat high blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Chlorthalidone is a water pill that increases urination, eliminates excess water & decreases the volume load, and controls blood pressure. It allows the blood to flow more smoothly and efficiently. Take this medicine with food as prescribed by your doctor. Caution must follow as excess consumption may lead to serious adverse effects. Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may lead to liver damage. Do not stop this medication unless told by your doctor.
Olsertain-CT's most common side effects include nausea, electrolyte imbalance, weakness, headache, and stomach upset. If any of the side effects persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.
