Olmeglare H contains two drugs, i.e., Hydrochlorothiazide and olmesartan medoxmil. It helps to control high blood pressure in several ways. If high blood pressure is left untreated, it can lead to heart attacks, strokes, and kidney failure.
Olmeglare H is a combination of hydrochlorothiazide and olmesartan, which are effective in lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes excess water and some electrolytes from the body. It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin, thereby relaxing blood vessels. Over time, it also relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow. Olmesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (arb). It allows blood to flow better and the heart to pump more efficiently.
You can take these tablets with food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you react to the drug. Try to take it at the same time every day. You must keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and increases urination. It is best not to take this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this drug regularly for maximum results, even when you feel fine. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, and if you stop taking it, your risk of a heart attack or stroke may increase.
The most common side effect of Olmeglare H is dizziness. Other side effects include weakness, headache, fatigue, chest pain, and swelling. Frequent urination is not a side effect of this drug. There are other possible side effects, but most are rare. Sometimes this can increase the pressure in your eye and, if left untreated, may cause permanent eye damage. Be sure to read the leaflet that comes with your medicines and tell your doctor if you are concerned about side effects or if they do not go away. It may be possible to adjust your dose or try other medications.
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, and you should ask your doctor before taking it if you have kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or diabetes. Drinking alcohol can further lower your blood pressure and can cause side effects.
