Nintenib capsule is used in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and non-small cell lung cancer. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply and helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.
This medication dose and duration will be given based on your medical condition as prescribed by the doctor. Take this capsule orally with food, but try to have it at a fixed time regularly. Take this medication as advised by the doctor. Taking it the wrong way can cause serious side effects. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Do not take this medication longer than recommended by the doctor. Drink plenty of water while taking this medication as it may help to reduce diarrhoea. This medication may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefit.
The medication’s most common side effects are diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, abdominal pain, vomiting, abnormal liver function tests, high blood pressure, and weight loss. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. Your doctor may advise you for some blood tests to monitor liver functioning. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. This medication may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy so, do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medication. Nintenib capsule is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
