METASPRAY N/SPRAY

Metaspray nasal spray is used to treat allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, skin conditions with inflammation and itching. It gets absorbed into the cells of the inner surface of the nose. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation, swelling and allergies. This relieves blocked or runny nose, sneezing and sinus discomfort.

Before taking a metaspray nasal spray, inform your doctor if you have irritation, liver disease, or hypersensitivity to mometasone. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. Breath gently and keep your head in an upright position.

You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Caution must be followed as excess consumption may lead to serious adverse effects. It can be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine & may provoke inflammation and difficulty in the airways.

The most common side effects of this medication include skin atrophy, paresthesia and respiratory tract infection. If any of the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. Inform your doctor if you have any infections of the mouth, lungs and throat. Avoid deep breathing as it will cause the medication to get back to the throat and make it less effective.
