M-CID syrup is an antibiotic given to children to effectively treat various bacterial infections that can occur in teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal, urinary tract, and genital infections.
this syrup is an antibiotic. it contains ofloxacin and ornidazole as active ingredients. both materials forge bacterial dna. this way, it kills the bacteria causing the infection, stopping the infection and bacteria from growing without making them resistant to further treatment.
give this syrup orally, preferably at specific times, before or after meals. if your child has an upset stomach, choose to feed him. this drug is usually given twice a day, morning and evening. if your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking it, repeat the same dose, but do not double the dose when it is time for the next dose.
you must adhere to the dosage, timing, & method prescribed by your doctor. it will depend on the type & severity of the infection, the age, and your child's weight.
the most common side effects include nausea, vomiting, metallic taste, headache, loss of appetite, stomach cramps, and a mild rash. these side effects almost always go away on their own as your child's body adapts to the medication. however, if they continue or start to bother your child, it is best to see your paediatrician immediately.
