LOSACAR H tablet is used to treat hypertension. losartan is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels by blocking the hormone angiotensin. hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that excretes excess water and electrolytes from the body and through urine. it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. hydrochlorothiazide and losartan potassium tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications. take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. you are advised to follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. do not stop this medication unless told by your doctor.

the most common side effects of these medications are dizziness, insomnia, hypotension, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea, muscle cramps, hypokalemia, photosensitivity, anorexia, alopecia, and thrombocytopenia.

before taking this medication, Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use other medicines. this medication is not recommended in pregnancy or while breastfeeding as it may harm the baby.
