lansoles tablet is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat erosive esophagitis, gastric ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease, heartburn, helicobacter pylori gastrointestinal tract infection, ulcer of the duodenum, and zollinger-ellison syndrome.
this medication may cause side effects such as abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, cutaneous lupus erythematosus, hypomagnesemia, clostridium difficile diarrhoea, fundic gland polyposis of the stomach, pancreatitis, erythema multiforme, stevens-johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, fracture of bone, rhabdomyolysis and tubulointerstitial nephritis. inform your doctor if these effects bother or worsen your condition.
contact your doctor immediately if diarrhoea occurs during treatment with lansoles, as lansoles has been associated with a slight increase in infectious diarrhoea.
avoid alcohol consumption and smoking as it may increase your drowsiness. do not drive while you are using this medication as it may affect your ability to drive by causing vision impairment, dizziness and sleepiness.
do not stop the medication without informing your doctor, even if you feel better. it may take a few weeks to start curing your medical condition for which you are taking the medication and flare up the symptoms again. it is suggested to avoid taking more than recommended doses as it may cause adverse effects and toxicity.
inform your doctor if you have any liver problems. consult your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or a lactating mother.
