Laconext tablet is used in the treatment of epilepsy. It works by decreasing the nerve impulses which cause the seizures and controls the frequency of seizures. It slowly inactivates the sodium gated channels, decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed by your doctor.
You can take this medicine with food as prescribed by your doctor. Caution must be followed as the excess dose may lead to serious adverse effects. Medication should not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are on any other medication as it may cause interactions. Inform your doctor if you have had any heart problems before starting the treatment.
This medication's most common side effects are blurred vision, double vision, dizziness, weight gain, and headache. If any of the side effects persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately.
