Jonac 12.5mg Suppository is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used for treating post- operative pain and inflammation. This route is administered in cases where any other route is not possible, such as unconscious individuals or in children. Jonac 12.5mg Suppository is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) which is absorbed rapidly into the bloodstream from the rich blood supply of the rectal area. Once absorbed, it works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

- Remove the wrapper from the suppository before inserting it.
- Keep lying down for about 15 minutes after insertion so that the suppository does not come out before it melts. It starts working within one hour.

Answer- You should not take Jonac 12.5mg Suppository during the last 3 months of
pregnancy as it may cause harmful effects on your baby. Use of Jonac 12.5mg
Suppository can also lead to reduced labor (premature delivery). Hence, it is advised to
avoid using Jonac 12.5mg Suppository during the first 6 months of pregnancy also.
