Gardenal tablet is an anticonvulsant. It works by increasing the activity of gaba (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a chemical messenger in the central nervous system. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor.
Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication.
The common side effects of this medication are nausea, diarrhoea, hyperactivity, depression, and confusion. It may also cause decreased blood pressure and fatigue. Consult your doctor if you notice severe rashes accompanied by fever after taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you have any liver, heart, kidney problems, and lung problems.
