Finpecia table is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor used to treat male pattern hair loss, benign prostatic hypertrophy and prevent bph symptoms such as frequent & difficult urination. It may reduce the chance of acute urinary retention and decrease the chances of prostate surgery. It is used alone or in combination with other medications.
This medication may cause side effects such as ejaculation disorder, erectile dysfunction and decreased libido. Inform your doctor if these effects persist for a longer duration or bother you. Males must inform their doctor if your partner intends to be pregnant as it leads to abnormality. Please do not exceed more than the recommended dose as it may lead to toxicity and adverse effects.
Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor. You have to complete the course of the medication as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better, as it may take a few weeks to see or feel the benefits of this medicine. Sudden abrupt of medicine may cause severe complications.
