EUREPA V tablet is an antidiabetic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. it works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause the breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. together, they prevent blood sugar from rising very high after meals. you are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. caution must be followed as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. this medication should not be stopped even if you feel better. alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it might increase the risk of low blood sugar and high ketone level.
the most common side effects of this medication are hypoglycemia, allergic skin reactions, stomach pain, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. if the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. you are advised to monitor your sugar levels regularly.
before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, or have type 1 diabetes, heart, liver & kidney problems and using any other medications.
